Public domain:
The author gives the sources of his software and allows their modifications.
(He may ask that his name still appears in the software).
(GPL, Open source, etc...)

Freeware:
The author allows the use of his software without anything in return.
The author keeps the property of the copyright.

Cardware:
The author allows the use of his software, under the condition that the user
sends to him a postcard.
The author keeps the property of the copyright.

Shareware:
The author allows the use of his software conditionally (number of days,
number of executions, etc...). At the end of the conditions, the user should:
- either, erase the software from his computer if the program doesn't please to him,
- or, pay the license price that the author ask.
